We are seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to join our cross-functional Agile team. The successful candidate will proactively participate in Frontend phase of the software development lifecycle, providing efficient, quality code for our EHS product, and contributing actively to the continuous improvement of our team and practices.

Responsibilities

• Developing new user-facing features using React.js

• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use

• Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code

• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

• Collaborate with other development teams to discuss user interface applications and ideas.

• Work closely with UX designers, and product managers to create strong and effective applications.

• Mentorship for less experienced team members

• Identification of gaps and shortcomings in technical solutions and proactive push toward improvements and decision making

Skills

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.

• Deep understanding of React.js and its core principles

• Excellent knowledge about popular React.js workflows

• Experience and familiarity with TypeScript is a plus

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs

• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token

• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools

• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.

• A knack for benchmarking and optimization

• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git

• Experience with the Atlassian suite of tools – JIRA, Confluence, etc.

• Strong communication skills

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Development or equivalent.

• 5-10 years’ experience in an Information Technology environment, specializing in Software Development

• Excellent communication and personal skills, able to communicate clearly, effectively, and form effective working relationships with colleagues and other departments.

• High levels of drive and energy.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

• Enthusiasm and general interest in Software Development.
