We, at AMCS, are seeking an experienced Data Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data warehousing, data marts, and data testing within the Azure ecosystem. A key focus will be on test automation using test automation frameworks to ensure the integrity and quality of our data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for data warehouse and data mart solutions.
Implement and maintain automated test scripts using test automation frameworks to validate data pipelines, ETL processes, and data transformations.
Collaborate with data engineers, architect, product owner and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data quality.
Perform data validation, data integrity checks, and data reconciliation across various data sources.
Identify, document, and track defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
Conduct performance testing and optimization of data solutions.
Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
Provide regular reports on testing progress, results, and quality metrics.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven work experience in data testing, with a focus on data warehouses and data marts.
Strong experience with Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage).
Proficiency in Python and experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Robot Framework).
Solid understanding of SQL and experience with database testing.
Familiarity with data modelling concepts and ETL processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Certification in Azure Data Engineering.
Knowledge of data visualization tools (Preferably Power BI) would be advantageous.
