About the Role

As a Senior Account Executive at AMCS, you will be responsible for driving strategic new business growth by helping mid-market and large organizations solve complex operational and sustainability challenges through our SaaS solutions. You will own and lead complex sales engagements from initial prospecting through contract execution, building trusted relationships with senior business leaders and key decision-makers.


This role requires a highly consultative seller who can navigate multi-stakeholder buying processes, uncover strategic business priorities, align solutions to measurable outcomes, and confidently engage both technical and executive audiences in virtual and in-person settings.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Drive Strategic New Business Growth 

    Own and expand net new logo acquisition within your assigned territory, consistently delivering against ambitious revenue targets. 

  • Territory & Pipeline Leadership 

    Develop and execute a strategic territory plan focused on identifying, prioritizing, and converting high-value opportunities while maintaining a robust pipeline. 

  • Complex Sales Execution 

    Lead sophisticated sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, business units, and decision-makers from discovery through negotiation and close. 

  • Executive-Level Customer Engagement 

    Build relationships with VP and C-level stakeholders to understand business priorities, quantify value, and drive consensus throughout the buying process. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration 

    Partner closely with Marketing, Business Development, Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and leadership teams to create winning account strategies and accelerate growth. 

  • Solution Value Selling 

    Translate complex technical capabilities into compelling business outcomes and ROI-driven value propositions. 

  • Sales Forecasting & Business Planning 

    Maintain forecast accuracy, pipeline discipline, and opportunity progression through Salesforce and established sales methodologies. 

  • Industry & Market Expertise 

    Develop deep understanding of customer challenges, industry trends, and competitive dynamics to position AMCS as a trusted strategic partner. 

  • Continuous Improvement 

    Share best practices, mentor peers where appropriate, and contribute to broader sales initiatives that drive organizational success. 


Required Experience & Qualifications 

  • 5-8+ years of quota-carrying software sales experience, with a proven track record selling complex SaaS, ERP, platform, or business application solutions. 

  • Demonstrated success exceeding quota in a new business acquisition role. 

  • Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and executive decision-makers. 

  • Proven ability to prospect, develop, and close opportunities within mid-market and large organizations. 

  • Experience selling solutions that address operational, financial, compliance, or business transformation initiatives. 

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to engage and influence VP and C-level buyers. 

  • Excellent discovery, negotiation, value-selling, and closing skills. 

  • Strong business acumen and ability to connect technical solutions to strategic business outcomes. 

  • Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. 

  • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM systems. 

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills. 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
