QA Manual / Automation Engineer

We are looking for a QA Manual/Automation Engineer with extensive experience in Software Automated Testing and Agile Methodology to join our team Cebu City. As part of our team, you’ll contribute to building innovative solutions that drive a more circular economy and pave the way for a sustainable future.
This is a hybrid role and would require successful candidates to be present onsite at least 3x a week.

Key responsibilities
Assist in designing and executing manual test cases under the guidance of senior team members.
Actively participate in daily Scrum meetings and contribute to team discussions as part of an Agile/Scrum team.
Execute functional, regression, usability, and exploratory tests to identify software defects.
Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools, ensuring clear and detailed reporting.
Learn and apply software testing principles, gradually developing an understanding of industry best practices.
Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand software features and testing requirements.
Engage in test case reviews, receiving and implementing feedback to improve testing quality.
Assist in maintaining test documentation, including test cases, test results, and defect reports.
Continuously learn about new testing methodologies, tools, and software development processes.
Seek mentorship from senior team members to improve technical and analytical testing skills.
Key Skills/Qualifications
Basic understanding of software testing concepts, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
Familiarity with Agile methodology and willingness to work in a Scrum-based environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Ability to learn and use bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) to document and track defects.
Basic knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new testing tools and methodologies.
Ability to understand and analyze requirements from user stories, test plans, and acceptance criteria.
Passion for quality assurance and continuous improvement in software testing.
