About the role:


AMCS IT are recruiting an experienced Senior Network Engineer who will be accountable for developing, maintaining and troubleshooting our data networks. Our ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills along with a thorough knowledge of the architecture, administration and security of data networks. In the role, you'll work collaboratively with the Cyber security team to ensure all aspects of the network are secure and data protection remains at the forefront of the network design.


The following are the key requirements for the role:


• Implementation of scalable and reliable network architectures to meet the organisation's business needs.

• Design, deploy, monitor and troubleshoot LAN, WLAN & WAN using a variety of network equipment, software and protocols including layer2/3 switches, spanning tree, iSCSI, firewalls, routers, WAP, VLANs, etc.

• Maintain, enhance, and contribute to the documentation around network tools, processes & procedures.

• Support the configuration, deployment and ongoing maintenance of servers, routers and other network devices.

• Monitor network performance and integrity.

• Mentor team members on technical issues

• Creating and presenting networking reports.

• Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability·

• Develop technical solutions which help mitigate security vulnerabilities through automating tasks and actions on the network devices


Requirements:


• A degree in Computer Science or IT related discipline or equivalent is desirable.

• 5+ years’ experience working in a global IT Network environment.

• CCNP (or above) level knowledge and experience in the following required: BGP, OSPF, IPSEC VPN, eVPN, VXLAN.

• Cloud-based networking experience – Azure, AWS.

• Ability to implement routing and switching configuration on Cisco, Fortinet and Sophos Devices

• Ability to program (ex. tasks automation, network automation, network monitoring)

• Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide timely resolutions.

• Experienced with cybersecurity controls including Firewalls, DDoS, IPS/IDS, URL Filtering, SIEM Solutions, Web Application Firewalls, multi-factor authentication, PKI’s Environment

• Experience with mobility solutions including MDM, MAM, auto-enrolment, and BYOD.

• Experience with cloud solutions including identity management, Federation, ADFS, AD Connect, SAML would be beneficial.

• Prior experience with vulnerability & patch management programs and tools, change control and general IT governance processes.

• Possess a good understanding of IT architecture and security architecture methodologies, such as SABSA, CIS Framework, NIST, SOC, PCI.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to a team of system engineers.

• Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
