About the Role

As a Deals Desk Pricing Manager, you will play a crucial role in optimizing pricing strategies and supporting the sales organization in structuring and closing profitable deals. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of pricing models within the SaaS industry. You will collaborate with various teams, including sales, finance, legal, and product management, to ensure that pricing strategies align with business objectives and customer needs.


Key Responsibilities:

• Pricing Strategy Development:

o Develop a standard global pricing framework based on company strategy

o Further develop & enhance pricing models, assess, and make pricing recommendations, based on competitive feedback, market trends, Win Loss analysis, market assessment insights, customer data and other sources, in line with company pricing policy

o Develop and maintain pricing models, including tiered pricing, bundling, and discount structures.

o Champion delivery and continuous improvement of new SalesForce RCA/CPQ tool to drive automation into pricing lifecycle process

o Own single product catalog across Salesforce/NetSuite, standard List price books, & relevant regional and Line of Business variations

• Deals Support:

o Work closely with the sales team to review deal structures, ensuring compliance with pricing guidelines and policies.

o Provide pricing guidance and support for complex deals, including custom quotes and contract negotiations.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Administration:

o Responsible for the governance & administration of the global pricing process, supporting pricing integrity (price accuracy) across the entire pricing lifecycle including initial pricing, promotional pricing, and discounting/ discount approval matrix

o Responsible for the review and administration of any price deviations and exceptions

o Partner with finance to assess the financial impact of pricing decisions, ensuring alignment with revenue goals and profitability targets.

o Collaborate with product management to understand product value propositions and align pricing accordingly.

• Reporting and Analysis:

o Generate reports and dashboards to track pricing performance, sales trends, and deal outcomes.

o Conduct regular analyses to identify pricing opportunities and recommend adjustments as needed.

• Training and Support:

o Train and support the sales team on pricing tools, models, and strategies.

o Act as a subject matter expert on pricing policies and procedures.


Skills/Requirements:

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills (preference for mathematics, economics, commercial, finance background), ideally within the SaaS or technology industry.

• 3+ years of experience in pricing analysis or commercial roles, familiarity with pricing frameworks and strategies, including value-based pricing and competitive analysis

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to effectively articulate insights and recommended actions

• Self-starter, ability to work on own and as part of a team

• Strong business acumen and demonstrated experience working with and supporting sales teams

• Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and have working experience with CRM/ERP tools

• Willingness to learn with an analytical mindset, comfortable with working with large datasets to help identify trends, develop business insights, suggest improved practices

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
