Responsibilities

• Developer equipped to perform both front-end and back-end operations suiting the platform requirements.

• Aiding the company’s vision of migrating the code base into new tech stack

• Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code

• Identification of functional and non-functional requirements for upcoming implementation work

• Collaborate with other developer teams to discuss migration strategy and ideas.

• Work closely with fellow developers from other departments and project managers to create strong and effective applications.

  
  

Skills

• Strong proficiency in PHP, including frameworks like Symfony/Laravel.

• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs

• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token

• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools

• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.

• A knack for benchmarking and optimization

• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git

• Experience with the Atlassian suite of tools – JIRA, Confluence, etc.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Development or equivalent.

• 5-10 years’ experience in an Information Technology environment, specializing in Software Development, would be a distinct advantage.

• Excellent communication and personal skills, able to communicate clearly, effectively, and form effective working relationships with colleagues and other departments.

• High levels of drive and energy.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

• Enthusiasm and general interest in Software Development.
