Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the successful implementation of our platform software solutions by bridging the gap between business requirements and technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business processes, technical systems, and software development lifecycle, with a proven ability to drive successful system implementations.
Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
Collaborate with our customers to gather, analyse, and document business requirements and objectives.
Define clear and concise functional and technical specifications.
Conduct workshops to extract detailed requirements from business users.
System Design and Solution Development:
Work closely with software developers, architects, and other technical teams to design scalable and efficient system solutions.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications, use cases, and user stories.
Stakeholder Communication:
Communicate technical concepts in a way that is accessible to non-technical stakeholders.
Software Testing and Validation:
Develop test plans and test cases to ensure the software meets business and technical requirements.
Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) and support users in validating the solution.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified during testing.
Implementation Support:
Support the successful deployment and rollout of platform solutions, ensuring a smooth transition for end users.
Provide post-implementation support to address any issues or refinements.
Ensure that all system documentation and training materials are complete and up to date.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify and recommend improvements in business processes and platform functionality.
Stay current with industry trends, software tools, and best practices to bring innovative solutions to the team.
Assist in optimising system performance and user adoption through ongoing feedback and system tuning.
Desired Education, Skills & Experience:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Certifications in business analysis or project management are a plus.
Experience:
3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in software/system implementation projects.
Strong experience in gathering requirements, writing technical specifications, and working with development teams to implement software solutions.
Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and project management tools.
Technical Skills:
Experience with system design, software configuration, and data integration.
Knowledge of business intelligence, CRM, ERP, or other enterprise software platforms.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
